You will have a strategic, integrative mindset to lead the research and analytics that will define and shape the Global Vision and Commercial Strategy for a portfolio of epigenetic assets and disease area strategy. You will serve as a thought-partner to commercial leads in identifying opportunities for research initiatives and integrating learning across primary and secondary sources to inform business choices.You will be responsible for building and executing the Oncology Insights and Business Analytics plan for disease area strategy teams as well as assets coming through our epigenetics development program. In this regard, you will be providing objective and actionable insights, analysis and recommendations to the business, and socializing insights for their successful application to local markets as launch preparation ensues.You will also work with colleagues in the Insight & Analytics community to further develop our core capabilities, organizational impact and effectiveness in ways of working with other functions and local operating companies.You will influence key business decisions based on data, research, analytics, and actionable insights to meet the genuine unmet needs of patients, health care practitioners and health ecosystem. You will partner with commercial leadership to effectively drive asset development and launch. You will also partner with the commercial leads of the Disease Area Strategy (DAS) team in the development and application of insights to the resulting strategy and their socialization to brand teams developing assets for indications within the purview of the DAS. Lastly, you will recommend, influence, plan and execute research and analytics for the product based on an in-depth understanding of the products/segments, competitive environment, business model, and challenges/opportunities.This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Operate as a strategic business partner to the cross-functional Brand Team and key Insights & Analytics point of contact for core LOCs
  • Develop deep subject matter expertise therapeutic area issues, trends, current and evolving competitive landscape, and potential market disruptors
  • Deliver well-integrated, actionable insights and ensure their strategic application to support global commercial strategy, governance meetings and investment decisions
  • Proactively identify and quantify risks and opportunities for brands, disease areas addressed
  • Partner with forecasting colleagues to ensure pull through of market and customer insights into sound forecasts that contribute to stage gating and investment planning decisions
  • Lead the design of the annual research plan for epigenetics and disease area strategy teams while embracing best practices and innovative approaches to address the highest value business questions; manage associated budget
  • Manage vendor relationships to achieve a mutually rewarding partnership while ensuring excellence in market research execution
  • Ensure 100% adherence to market research compliance guidelines
  • Contribute to a positive culture of learning and continuous improvement by developing/refining processes to achieve better business outcomes
  • Why youBasic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Recent & Relevant Oncology or Rare Disease marketing and/or commercial analysis experience
  • 4+ years of marketing or commercial analysis related experience (market research, marketing/sales analytics, forecasting, etc.)
  • 8-10 years of experience (including 3+ years in healthcare) or 5-8 years with advanced degree (3+ years in healthcare)
  • Previous Leadership experience (first line leader experience or successful matrix leadership or enterprise leadership)
  • Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • MBA, MS, or MA in business, marketing science, or science
  • 3+ years commercial analysis, scenario based planning, research and analytics distillation, synthesis, and application to business issues
  • Strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior commercial leadership and confidently defend informed recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to apply data and analyses to drive high impact business decisions
  • Significant experience conducting qualitative and quantitative market research
  • Ability to leverage and synthesize a broad range of information sources to develop insight and generate clear, actionable recommendations that impact/drive decision-making at a business unit level
  • Deep understanding of the global pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication/ presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively across a matrix environment and influence without formal authority
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior commercial leadership
  • Agility, flexibility and comfort with ambiguity
  • Experience managing direct reports and leading without authority
  • Ability to lead through change and inspire agility/flexibility amongst team
