Job Description

Trainee Teaching Assistant – Penarth Additional Learning Needs Placement3-19 SchoolPayrate: £11.85 to £12.30 per hourHours: 8.30am-3.30pm (32.5 per hour)September StartWe are looking for a Trainee Teaching Assistant to join our 3-19 client school in Penarth supporting learners with additional needs. The school are looking for a friendly and confident person who is passionate about helping people with additional needs andkeen to kick start their career within the education sector! Contracts are available with the school for those performing well!Training will be provided on the job and through Teaching Personnel you will have access to a range of free and highly reduced courses. It is essential that the Trainee Teaching Assistant is able to work with learners from nursery up to further educationand able to build effective bonds with students.Requirements for the Role:

  • Must apply for an Enhanced DBS
  • Must register with the Education Workforce Council
  • Must provide 2 reference
Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring learners are on task during lessons
  • Supporting with creating learning materials
  • Supporting with explaining tasks to learners during lessons
  • Supporting with personal care
  • Helping with feeding
  • Monitoring learner safety around the school
  • Providing nurture supporting for learners
