Job Description

Special Needs TeacherSalary: £157.66+ per dayLocation: Vale of GlamorganJob Type: Full-timeOur client is experiencing an exciting period of growth and is seeking dynamic and energising teachers to join their innovative team. Reed are working with s special school catering for pupils aged 3-19 with a range of learning difficulties and disorders.Our mission is to make school an unmissable, audacious experience, and we are looking for teachers who are dedicated to making a difference and ready to tackle a variety of subjects with creativity and passion.Day to Day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and life-affirming lessons across a variety of subjects, transforming challenging curriculum content into meaningful experiences for pupils.
  • Provide both high support and high challenge to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.
  • Design and implement an engaging curriculum with the support and freedom to innovate.
  • Utilise ICT and other resources to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Maintain high expectations for pupil engagement and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to provide the best opportunities for all pupils.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with the ability to adapt teaching methods.
  • Experience in or a strong understanding of the curriculum and its adaptation for diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent classroom practice and a willingness to incorporate ICT effectively.
  • Commitment to the values of happiness, acceptance, communication, friendship, kindness, confidence, and fun.
  • Ability to be an extraordinary role model for pupils and colleagues.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
