Job Description

Behaviour Support OfficerPermanent OpportunityPenarthOur Specialist SEN Branch are currently working in partnership with an Independent Specialist School based in Penarth.The school itselfoffers day and residential placements for students aged 719. The students have difficulty learning as a result oftheir emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Aspergers Syndrome.The School:They help develop young peoples emotional wellbeing and social skills. The aim is to develop students to be effective learners so they are able to cope better with the things they find challenging. They do this through a focus on establishing positiveand healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing and developing social skills. They are currently on the look out fora numberadditional teaching assistants to work through us initially with the likelihood of a permanent contract after a specific amount oftime. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who is fancying a change in career or if you have a keen interest in behaviour and/or psychology.The Ideal Candidate:

  • A strong sense of humour
  • Ability to use your iniative in situations that may challenge.
  • Have a background in either sports, psychology, mental health, support work, youth work and/or Additional Learning Needs.
