Job Description

Logistics Administrator An exciting opportunity to work as part of a Logistics team providing excellent customer service to ensure that all shipments are managed in the most efficient, safest, and cost-effective way. You will have the opportunity to work with some exciting clientsand manage the end-to-end process for research samples, clinical trials medicines and other pharmaceutical and healthcare related products on a worldwide basis.To ensure full cover of the logistics department, the company are ideally looking for a candidate that would have the flexibility to work all of the below shift patterns or at least 2 of them:

  • 7am - 3:30pm
  • 8:30am - 5pm
  • 10am - 6:30pm
Start: ASAPLocation: Outskirts of Duxford, Cambridgeshire - full time office basedHours: Monday - Friday 40 hours per week (shift patterns available above)Salary: circa £25,000 per annumDuration: PermanentBENEFITS: 25 days holiday plus bank holiday 14% on target Bonus Pension - up to 9% employer contribution Death in service benefit - 4 x annual salary Income Protection Private Medical InsuranceDuties include:
  • Gain accurate information for customer and shipment requirements
  • Provide appropriate, compliant, and cost-effective routing solutions
  • Arranging shipments and prepare shipment paperwork
  • Work with other agents to arrange collections, customs clearance, and deliveries
  • Monitoring shipment statuses and update customers
  • Develop and maintain a close relationship with existing and potential clients
  • Ensure all Dangerous Goods shipments are correctly classified
  • Negotiating and obtaining the best possible price for each shipment
  • Providing quotations to customers
  • Maintaining the companys profitability targets
  • Keeping accurate records and detailed information for each shipment
  • Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively
  • Ensure that the department operates compliantly and within the law at all times
Your background, Skills, and Attributes:
  • Previous Logistics, Supply Chain or Export experience is essential
  • Customer service and administration experience
  • Excellent numerical skills and reasoning
  • Work accurately with good attention to detail
  • Proactive and innovative approach to problem solving
