* Procurement Manager* Purchasing Manager* BuyingWe are delighted to be exclusively supporting a high growth, fast paced business in the recruitment of their new addition to the senior leadership team, the Purchasing Manager.As a Purchasing Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operations, manage relationships with suppliers, primarily located in the Far East, Europe and the UK. Your responsibilities span the entire end-to-end supply chain process, whilst enhancing internal purchasingprocesses. This role is your chance to make a lasting impact. If youre ready to shape the future of a Purchasing department, this role is for you!Tasks* Supply chain management with European and Far East Suppliers.* Manage freight forwarding for international transport of goods into the UK.* Gather and analyse data to forward project stock control.* Work with Directors and Marketing in product development.* Manage price negotiations with all suppliers.* Implement processes and procedures for the department.* Manage monthly and year end stock take.* Manage delivery checks and quality control of productsPurchasing Manager Requirements* Proven working experience as Purchasing Manager in a manufacturing environment* Familiarity with Far East and European vendors* Strong commercial acumen* Strong negotiator* Proven track record of building long-term supplier relationships* Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures* Manage freight forwarding for international transport of goods into the UK.* Experience of JIT* Familiarity with imports and customs procedures * Be innovative and forward thinking in the creation of procurement policy and process* Degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration or CIPS Diploma or higher
