  • Prospecting and securing new business for Hobart to ensure revenue plans are met
  • Identify and win new business from an agreed list of prospect customers
  • Prepare account development plan - detailing key information on customer insight, visions, and growth strategies.
  • Produce proposals, presentations & marketing documents
  • Ensure that our business CRM database is updated and maintained on a daily/weekly basis including contact details, trading terms & contract data
  • Actively prospect for new business opportunities within our Key Accounts, networking and exploiting opportunities within other ITW divisions & Hobart regional sales teams
  • Build insight of products, market conditions and competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through research, reading professional publications and developing and maintaining personal networks
  • Work effectively with the internal sales & marketing teams, external colleagues and ITW colleagues to develop new business ideas.
  • Monitor and communicate any factors that may affect customer retention, contact renewal or revenue forecast
  • Develop and maintain a specialist knowledge of the range of Warewash, Cooking, Food Preparation and Service product solutions available from Hobart UK
In order to be successful in this role it is essential that you have:
  • Strong business development experience
  • Experience and knowledge of targeted selling to end users
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite essential, including Excel
  • Excellent listening, solution selling, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Full driving licence and the ability to travel nationally and internationally if required
  • Previous knowledge of the food equipment / commercial kitchen environment industry market a benefit but not essential
  • Highly motivated and well organised, with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Good problem solver, capable of managing processes and resolving issues whilst on the move
  • Excellent communication skills, an ability to deal with a broad spectrum of people at all levels of an organisation, from onsite managers to director level
  • Numerate and able to produce analysis from multiple data sources.
