Chief Executive OfficerSalary £40k per annum dependent on experience + benefitsWest Lancashire, L39 3AJ office/hybrid workingFull TimeAre you interested in becoming Chief Executive Officer of the best domestic abuse charity in West Lancashire Our client are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to help us build on their strong foundations and further develop their reputation in being a lead organisation at the forefront of providing the best response to adults and children impacted by domesticabuse.This post is open to women only (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1)About The Liberty CentreThey are a leading domestic abuse charity, offering a range of support services across West Lancashire and taking referrals for their refuge from across the country. They have nineteen paid staff, six volunteers and four trustees. They work together withfamilies who are or have experienced domestic abuse. They support women, men and children to manage complex issues, to rebuild their lives and to thrive.They work in partnership with a wide range of statutory and voluntary services, to offer the best response; supporting a multi-agency approach to improve engagement, safety and outcomes for families and individuals.They understand trauma and its long-lasting impacts and survivor adaptations. They are trauma informed and have a strengths-based approach seeking to understand and respond to the effects of traumatic experiences. Their safety planning and support is holisticand personalised to meet the needs of individuals and families which includes their physical, psychological and emotional safety. They work in collaboration with families to empower them and re-establish control over their lives.About the roleTheir next CEO will be someone who deeply cares about improving the experience of people experiencing domestic abuse and excels at building relationships and partnerships. You will be passionate and knowledgeable about domestic abuse and act as an advocateand voice for the families that access their services. They are looking for someone who is ambitious for their future and has creative ideas for how they can continue to grow and develop. A leader who is inspiring and inclusive, who provides support, guidanceand development whilst being able to professionally challenge at the right times.The successful candidate will have a good understanding of charity governance, and both financial and organisational development. You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its affects whilst also being aware of issues and developmentslocally and nationally.The Liberty Centre offer an inclusive work environment and they are a flexible employer working together as one large supportive team.
