It actually requires a large multi-disciplined team, working together and making best use of the skills and resources available.As a part of the Crime Recording & Resolution Unit in the Force Contact Crime and Operations Branch the aim of this role is to provide a 24-hour service to members of the public, operational officers and partners dealing with incident and crime reports.You will need to seek all opportunities to appropriately, ethically and professionally assist the informant as near as possible to the first point of contact and provide them with a clear understanding of how their contact will be progressed.You will also apply a victim-orientated approach to crime recording and problem solving, focusing on protecting members of the public and keeping them safe.RewardsWe are looking for flexible people who can work shifts. Please see the attached shift pattern for further details.These posts are based at Clayton brook, Louisa Street, Openshaw, Manchester M11 1PPThese posts attract 20% shift allowance and 15.07% weekend enhancement.CRRU - KEY DATES• Assessment day - 2nd March 2024• Training Starts - 17th June 2024 for three weeks (May be subject to change)• Mentoring Starts - 8th July 2024 for four weeks (May be subject to change)NO LEAVE WILL BE GRANTED DURING THE 7 WEEK TRAINING AND MENTORING PERIOD - PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU CAN COMMIT TO ATTEND FOR THE FULL TRAINING AND MENTORING PERIODTo apply for this role you must have a good record of attendance, at least during the last two years.
