Job Description

Our Cambridgeshire client is the leader in their field with their world beating products designed and hand built in the UK delivering a totally unique user experience. As a result of their continuing success and commitment to product performancethey are currently recruiting for the position of Quality Manager.Reporting directly to the Engineering Director, you will be responsible for the quality assurance processes, procedures and reporting across the company.This will be a broad role, interfacing with all members of the Engineering, Production, Sales and Marketing teams, other internal stakeholders and external third parties delivering consultancy, inspection, testing and control, and documentation.The role will be diverse and will cross over into technical product management, however, specific responsibilities include:

  • Planning and execution of corrective action activities related to both initial qualification and on-going management of the Quality Management System.
  • Ensure that a document control procedure is maintained to approve, review and record all changes to critical documents within the Quality Management System.
  • Ensure that records are established and maintained.
  • Provide for the identification, storage, protection, retrieval, retention time and disposition of such records.
  • Ensure that the performance of the Quality Management System is reviewed at planned intervals to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness. This review means assessing opportunities for improvement and the need for changes to the system.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge (required as a minimum) :
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 / QMS
  • UK car driving licence
