Job Description

School CaretakerLocation: Hillingdon, LondonRate: £14.50 to £20.50 per hour (depending on experience)Contract Type: Full-time, Long-termIntroduction: We are a respected education agency representing a vibrant Secondary School in Hillingdon, London. Currently, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled School Caretaker to join the support staff at our school. This role offersa competitive hourly rate ranging from £14.50 to £20.50, depending on the candidates experience and expertise.Responsibilities: As a School Caretaker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and functional school environment. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Site Management: Oversee the general upkeep, cleanliness, and maintenance of the school buildings and grounds.
  2. Security: Implement security measures to safeguard the premises, including monitoring access and responding to emergencies.
  3. Health and Safety: Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  4. Maintenance: Carry out minor repairs and coordinate with external contractors for more extensive maintenance needs.
  5. Events Support: Assist in setting up and organising events within the school premises.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a School Caretaker or in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the school community.
