Job Description

Data Engineer £700 per day (Inside IR35) Python, Snowflake, AWS, Terraform. 6-month contract / Hybrid South London Role DescriptionI am working with a major insurance company who are in the process of migrating legacy SQL/SSIS data systems over to a modern cloud-based data warehouse (Snowflake).This is a long-term project, which is set to take the company up to 4 years given the volume of data that is being migrated.For this role, we are looking for Senior Data Engineers who can work autonomously across the following tasks and tech stack:

Migrating SQL Server DBs over to Snowflake
Working with AWS cloud tech such as: Lambas, S3
Strong Python Software Engineering
Strong Data Modelling and ETL experience
Scheduling pipelines using Airflow.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be expected to set out best coding practices around the Data Platform, help junior engineers with the migration and turn your hand to the tasks mentioned above.This role is based in South London with 2 days per week on-site, its a 6-month contract initially with a strong possibility of extension. The role is Inside IR35 with a day rate up to £700 per day.
