Job Description

Our client, based near Selby (own transport essential), is looking to recruit an experienced customer service assistant to join their team to provide an efficient and confidential high level of administrative and customer service support. The role will initially be offered as a 6 month FTC, which may be extended or made permanent at the end of the initial contract.This company is excellent to work for and you will be part of a friendly team of people. The company also offer free parking. The client are looking for someone to start this role ASAP, initially to cover maternity leave.This company offers great benefits. from starting, 25 days holiday (pro rata) plus Bank Holidays, Pension Contributions and the potential of Company Performance bonus.Also, after the 3 month probation in addition to salary increase, they offer a Health Cash Plan.The current working practices are that Customer Services is split into two teams working two weeks in the office and two weeks at home on a rotation basis to facilitate the smooth running of the business and aid in the health and wellbeing of their staff. This practice is reviewed on a regular basis in conjunction with the Management Team and Health & Safety Officers. Our client follow Covid-safe working practices and preserve the health and wellbeing of all staff as far as possible.For this role, you will have ideally used the SAGE 200 package or a similar customer ordering system.Duties will include:

  • General order processing, including taking orders over the phone
  • Answering customer enquiries or passing them to the appropriate department
  • Giving information and helping to solve customer problems
  • Reception duties when required
  • Checking e-faxes and emails
  • Postal duties when required
  • Skills required:

  • Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team
  • Helpful and positive attitude
  • Experience of general office administration and working environment
  • Well organised and ability to multi-task
  • Flexible approach to various work demands
  • Experience of working as part of a team
