Job Description

Menzies Distribution are currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to work out of our depot in Normanton working on our Featherstone contracts.Hours of work:4 ON 4 OFF, 6-6,unlimited O/T availableRate of pay:£32K P/ATransport Supervisor duties:

  • Organise and manage busy transport operation
  • manage driver and vehicle compliance for the depot
  • Ensure daily briefings and debriefings are carried out
  • Ensure all company systems are used correctly and in accordance with instructions issued
  • Managing the allocation of work, planning motivating and coaching, absence & return to work interviews, conduct and capability issues.
  • Manage the departure of delivery vehicles to help drivers manage a busy multi-drop schedule
  • All contact with customers you should be courteous, professional and efficient
  • Demonstrate a desire to exceed customer expectations and deliver excellent standards of service
  • Develop & maintain relationships with all customers
  • Suggest resolutions or escalate complaints, as appropriate
  • POD Management
Requirements:
  • Right To Work in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Hardworking, positive and flexible attitude to work
  • Knowledge of all Transport Legislation
  • Good PC skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to encourage and influence a team
