Job Description

Pertemps have an exciting opportunity for 2x transport Clerks to work out of a National Distribution Centre situated in Normanton, West Yorkshire. This is Working on behalf of our client who specialise in the drinks logistics industry and are global leadersin this field.This role is working on a shift pattern basis (Please see below)

  • Days Monday to Friday: 06:00-14:00
  • Afters Sunday to Friday: 14:00-22:00
  • Nights Sunday to Thursday: 22:00-06:00
Skills & Experience
  • The ideal candidate will have Transport Administration/Clerk experience.
  • Computer literate to include, Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Training will be given on in-house systems
  • Knowledge of Various LGV Vehicles
  • Knowledge of Distribution
  • Good organisation skills with ability to prioritise work
  • Good communication and telephone skills
  • Team Player & Punctual
The duties of the role are:
  • To ensure both timely and low-cost deliveries
  • Ensure Customer Service levels are met
  • Control Vehicle maintenance
  • Ensure legal compliance of the transport operation
  • Sound and efficient planning skills in a fast-moving environment.
  • A working knowledge of both WTD and digital tachographs
  • Ability to analyse statistical information
  • A methodical approach combined with attention to administrative detail
  • Leasing with other sites within the same organisation
  • Speaking to the planning Team in Derby
In Return you will be paid the following:
  • Basic Hourly Rate: £12.28ph
  • Saturday Rate: £18.40ph (This is if you want any overtime)
  • Sunday Rate: £24.56ph (On the 22:00 to 06:00) rates change back to £12.28ph after Midnight into Monday Am, but on the 14:00 to 22:00 it remains at £24.56ph for all the shift)
