Job Description

A global drinks logistics provider based in the Normanton area are now seeking 3x VAN DRIVERS to join its expanding team now the hospitality sector is as Busy as ever. Full (paid) driving assessment and training on lifting is provided on site prior to commencement.The company specialises within the brewery industry and is focused on the customers needs, providing logistics solutions of outstanding quality. Pertemps are looking to recruit experienced van drivers to work out of the Normanton Depot.As the Van Driver your duties will include the below:

  • Multi-Drop This can be anything Between 3 to 15 Drops, the further away you go the less drops it is (Must be prepared to do up to 15)
  • Delivering packs of Alcohol & could also be Kegs of Beer (If Kegs curb side delivery only)
  • A safety first approach to driving and ensuring loads are safely secured.
  • Completing daily delivery paperwork and log books.
  • Start times can vary This could be anything between 05:00-08:00am on Earlies or later shift can start between 10:00 to 14:00pm (Must have flexibility)
  • MUST be fit and able to lift as this is manual & Physical work
To be a successful Van Driver you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Full Uk Car Licence
  • Over the age of 21 for Commercial Driving
  • No more than 6 Points
  • Multi-Drop experience Desirable but not Essential
  • Must be able to do manual & Physical work, this is Essential
  • No major Endorsement i.e., DR10, IN10, CU80,TT99, DR80, DR20
In return the Van Driver will receive an hourly rate, shown below:
  • Monday to Friday- £13.00ph
All rates are based on a Guaranteed 8hrs & Flat rates straight throughAll rates are based on PAYE drivers and you will accrue holidays, sickness pay & have a Government pension scheme should you chose to be in it!Please call Pertemps Sheffield ask for Rebecca or Matt in the driving division on !
