Fantastic opportunity based in West Yorkshire for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. As part of a group of companies concerned with the design and manufacture of electrical and related systems for a range of high reliability market applications, my clientis working to expand their presence in the railway lighting industry amongst others. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a growing organisation who believe in empowering their work force for everyone to progress together. There are multiple opportunities for internal and external training as well as opportunitiesfor career progression within the organisation. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be involved in the complex enclosure design using sheet metal techniques. You will be expected to produce and evaluate conceptual designs and models as well as create drawings and assembly details. The successful Mechanical Design Engineer job will require the following knowledge, Skills and Experience: - Relevant degree with a minimum of 2 years of industrial experience in Mechanical Design - 3D Solidworks experience essential - Actively participate in all aspects of mechanical design including prototyping, SLAs, 3D modelling, 2D drawing and New Product Introduction(NPI - Experience of enclosure design or designing around sheet metal based products - Knowledge of injection moulding including part design, tooling and component approval - Author, review and maintain technical documents such as Design Specifications If you are interested in the Mechanical Design Engineer job or are interested in similar jobs opportunity based in West Yorkshire please send a CV to or call Ricky on .
