Job Description

HR Payroll Officer

  • Job Type: Full-time - Onsite
  • Location: Mallusk
  • Working Hours: Mon-Thur 08:00 – 16:45, Fri 08:00 – 15:15
Reed HR are seeking an HR Payroll Officer to join our team and take responsibility for the HR function and the delivery of core HR activities within a busy manufacturing organisation. The ideal candidate will have a broad generalist remit, with a specificfocus on processing an automated weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees. Day to Day of the role:
  • Managing recruitment processes, from advertising to onboarding, including liaising with recruitment agencies.
  • Conducting right to work checks and fair employment monitoring.
  • Assisting with international recruitment and monthly payroll tasks.
  • Managing holiday planning, absence management, and vehicle management systems.
  • Maintaining HR/personnel files and ensuring all employee information is accurate.
  • Updating HR policies, conducting appraisals, and reporting on workplace accidents.
  • Engaging in employee relations activities, including disciplinary and grievance hearings.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives and apprenticeship programmes.
  • Processing payroll approximately 1.5 days per week, including pay rates, pension information, and monthly uploads.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years’ recent experience in human resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Willingness to learn payroll processing; previous payroll experience is desirable.
  • CIPD level 5 membership is desirable but not essential.
