Job Description

Purpose : to assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts. Providing financial support to operations management teams through the production if financial information.MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT IMMEDIATE START £35,000 - £40,OOOHAYDOCKRobert Walters are partnering with with one of our long standing clients within the Haydock area who due to growth have an immediate need for a management accountant. This particular role is for initially 3 months but for the right candidate could be extended and possibly even offered a permanent role during this period of growth.Key responsibilities:

  • To assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts for one of the clients division, adhering to prescribed timetable of delivery.
  • To produce, interpret and analyse standard reports that accurately reflect a true and fair view of business performance
  • Monitoring trends in both customers and products
  • Assist with preparation of monthly performance review packs for management
  • To undertake month end reconciliations of Training balance sheet accounts and investigate differences.
  • To ensure debtor reconciliations are completed monthly
  • Management of cash flow and completion of weekly cash flow forecast
  • An understanding of VAT reporting
  • Completion of intercompany schedules
  • To assist in the budget/reforecast processes for the division
  • Assist with the production of the critical performance indicators that will demonstrate the business is on track to deliver against its objective

  • Qualifications & Experience
  • Knowledge in working with ERP applications (preferably Xero and BPC).
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, PIVOTS etc)
  • ACCA or CIMA or working towards
