Job Description

Job: Senior Residential Support Worker Contract: Permanent Location: Newport Hours: Full time Pay: £27,558 - £33,000 (Including sleeps) Job Role: Childrens Residential Senior Support WorkerWe are excited to partner with individuals possessing exceptional skills for the role of Senior Support Worker on behalf of our esteemed client. Our client, a reputable national company with over 35 years of experience, operates fifty childrens residentialhomes across the country. These homes take pride in positively transforming childrens lives by delivering top-notch specialist services. Led by dedicated "professional parents," the service offers high-level support and nurturing care to help children overcomechallenges and achieve remarkable outcomes. The primary focus is on trauma-informed, therapeutic services, aiming to provide stability, develop resilience, and facilitate smooth transitions for children and young people.Your Responsibilities:* Establishing effective relationships with young individuals, their families (if applicable), and external agencies.* Actively participating in the development, assessment, and execution of care plans and risk assessments for young individuals.* Providing assistance to the deputy/manager of the home during shifts and fulfilling designated senior responsibilities as directed.* Ensuring meticulous upkeep of high-quality records as required, with supervision and guidance from shift leaders and Managers.* Upholding and promoting residential care work to the elevated standards of professionalism expected by the company and Ofsted.* Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the home, adhering to the cleaning rota system, and encouraging the engagement of young individuals as appropriate.* Contributing to the educational and social advancement of each young person and actively supporting the implementation of Individual Education Programs.* Attending to the emotional and physical needs of our young individuals, while maximising opportunities for their holistic development.Qualifications and Requirements:* Flexibility to work different shifts on a rota basis, including 2 in and 4 off shifts pattern with sleeps.* NVQ Level 3 in Children.* Experience as a Senior Support Worker or equivalent.* Enhanced DBS clearance.* Possession of a drivers license with own car (Desirable).* Being over 21 years old.Whats Offered:* Competitive salary ranging from £27,558 to £29,758 per year, depending on qualifications, up to £33K with sleeps. * Enrolment onto the fully funded Level 3/4/5 Children and Young Peoples Workforce qualification.* 248 hours of annual leave per year.* Opportunities for extra shifts/overtime at an enhanced rate.* Bank holidays paid at time and a half.* Pension enrolment and cycle to work scheme.* Fantastic opportunities for career development, with over 50 colleagues promoted last year.* £500 bonus through the Refer a Friend scheme, with a chance to win £5000 in a prize draw for successful referees.* Access to big-brand deals and discounts via the employee benefits scheme* Free parking.If you are seeking to build a fulfilling career within an outstanding company and have a genuine desire to make a positive impact on a childs life, this role might be the perfect fit for you.
