Job Description

Playing akey role in maintaining and improving the quality of policing services is technology. Information and communication systems are deployed and in use across the Force to help ensure that accurate and reliable information is made available to those who need it,when they need it and where they need it.Agile working patterns apply to this position where informal agile working arrangements will be available as agreed with the vacancy manager and in line with the requirements of the role.What do I need

    • A degree, HND or equivalent qualification, and/or have significant relevant experience
    • Background in Digital, Data and Technology
    • Extensive experience in data and system analysis
    • Strong experience in testing
    • Ability to bridge the gap between technical and business language to create pragmatic and appropriate solutions
    • Strong customer service and stakeholder management experience
    • Communication, writing, consulting and client facing skills
The Role:Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Business Systems Analyst interested in playing a key role in serving your community through the provision of exciting new technology that will support our police officers and staff to deliver an outstanding policingserviceAs a Business Systems Analyst, you will elicit requirements and perform system analysis and design identifying potential efficiencies at system design level while supporting the successful implementation of technical change that meets user, business andarchitecture requirements. Undertaking post implementation review to ensure end users receive a quality service.You will need to demonstrate your experience of system testing and quality assurance together with strong analytical skills. You will also have to demonstrate excellent team workmanship and communication skills as you will be expected to work within a teamconsisting of end users, development resource and external /contract staff. The successful applicant will be contributing to new critical solutions using appropriate requirements elicitation and methodologies including agile delivery methodologies in linewith demanding time constraints to deliver a high-quality standard of workmanship.What will I be doingYou will work with End Users across the Force to fully understand the challenges they are facing, documenting user requirements and quality criteria relating to affiliated technical change delivery.You will contribute to the design of enhancements to existing computer systems as well as the development of new applications ensuring user experience is at the forefront of any design.You will also ensure integrity and quality through effective testing of the delivered products while supporting the End Users with their User Acceptance Testing.Terms and ConditionsVetting Level - Recruitment Vetting (RV)Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed.
