Work. ProjectsWe want an Accessibility Tester to join our digital community. Youll make sure DWP products and services are available and accessible to every one of the millions of people that use them every dayAs a QA Tester in the Accessibility Testing Team you will be part of a supportive 6-person team. This is a hands-on role where youll ensure DWP products and services are tested robustly and comply with legislative and regulatory requirements on Accessibility.Youll be responsible for testing digital services, websites and documents to ensure compliance with the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018.This will include manual testing against the A and AA criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 and assistive technology testing using screen-readers, screen magnifiers and voice recognition software.You will define test scopes and user flows to maximise test coverage.You will help to compile evaluation reports and communicate findings and recommendations to service teams. You will help to improve documentation, evidence and processes to support and educate teams when building accessible digital products.What skills and experience we are looking forIdeally youll have experience of Jaws and Dragon.Youll demonstrate evidence of accessing services to standards and in this case will be working to the GOV UK design system.Youll know and understand what structured Accessibility Testing looks like and be able communicate it to the teams via training/workshops.And we need to see evidence in your application of the following technical skills:
  • Accessibility Testing

  • Testing (DDAT)
  • Technical Breadth (DDAT)
