Job Description

Your new roleAs Principal Asset Management Advisor you will be responsible for delivering the Asset Management transformation across all of National Highways. This role will report to, and support the Head of Asset Management Strategy in building our capability in assetmanagement across the company. You will be pivotal in developing and communicating AM policy, strategies and processes across all levels in the company through collaboration and communication skills to enable successful delivery and embedment across the organisation.To excel in this role, you will need to have previous experience in developing and delivering asset management solutions in complex infrastructures sectors. You will be part of the team that is leading the asset management transformation from the front andkeen for you to offer best practice advice and build on organisations existing capability. Considering this is a cross-directorate multi-disciplinary transformation, experience of delivering change and transformation is highly sought out for. This is a newlycreated role will give you the opportunity to make it your own to enable you to develop and deliver asset management approach for our organisation.For this role, we will consider any of our National offices for the right candidate. This is a challenging yet exciting opportunity to join a Division that has a great ethos and values individuals both on a personal and professional level.What youll be leading on

  • Support in development and implementation of asset management policies, strategies and operating procedures across National Highways and the supply chain
  • Support leadership team in setting and communicating the direction of asset management
  • Engage with a broad range of key internal and external stakeholders and senior management across National Highways.
  • Support the delivery of objectives and ensure, where relevant, compliance with commitments and legal obligations
To be successful

  • Ability to work collaboratively to gain involvement and engagement, with a range of colleagues and key stakeholders both in the wider organisation and externally.
  • Ability to manage and deliver complex, multi-disciplinary programmes at pace and to quality.
  • Experience of working across boundaries within an organisation and with other organisations
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering successful change and transformation programmes.
  • Demonstrable understanding of programme and project governance principles and processes
  • Good communication skills to convey complex information to a wide audience and influence as necessary
  • Understanding of asset management issues and challenges
