Job Description

Your new rolePMO ManagerWhat youll be leading on

  • Engaging with stakeholdersacross HighwaysEngland andexternallyto ensureastrong understandingof businessneeds,to promoteandgain commitmentto MDDobjectives andsolutions, toidentifykeyareasforimprovementandtoshare bestpractices.
  • Implementing appropriate programme management methodologiesto ensuretheeffectiveplanningandcontrol ofprogrammeactivities,theidentification andmitigation of risksandeffective management ofprogramme performance.
  • Ensuringthat appropriate governance andassuranceframeworksareinplace monitorand managecompliance with these,toensurethe successfulmanagementofprogrammesandprojectswithin the Division and toensurecompliance withcorporate policies andstandards.
  • Workingwith colleagues toidentifyopportunities,optionsandsolutionsfor takingforwardbusinessimprovementsthat help tomeet current andfuture needsofthebusiness.
  • Ensuring that correspondence and PQs are processed within the agreed timescales and review processes on a regular basis to confirm effectiveness.
  • Ensuringthat solutions areappropriatelydocumented and communicatedtoallstakeholders, tosupport implementation andtoensurethe availabilityofauditevidence.
To be successful
  • ProjectorProgrammeManagementqualificationand/or relatedexperience andunderstandingof programme delivery,performance managementandpeopledevelopment.
  • Proven experience in leadinganddevelopingdiversecustomerfacing teamin afastmovingandrapidlychangingorganisation with a similar governmentenvironment.
  • Demonstrable evidence ofmanaging stakeholder relationships, engaginginternal andexternal clientsandworkingwith programmemanagement tosupport thedelivery ofaprogramme ofcomplexand/or high-riskprojectsand /orhigh-profile services.
  • Personal attributes required: Proactivity,Resilience, Integrity and CustomerServiceskills
  • Stakeholder managementskills, with evidence ofsuccessful engagementwith andinfluencingboth internalclientsandkeystakeholders.
  • Strongnetworking and communication skills,including the abilitytocommunicateeffectivelywithothersand present results.
