Job Description

Role: BookkeeperSalary: £25,000Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hour week (would consider part time hours as well)Location: Basford, NottinghamOur client, a consultancy practice, is seeking to recruit a Bookkeeper to its existing support teamDuties of the Bookkeeper:

  • bookkeeping for a number of clients
  • accurate data capture
  • prepare and submit VAT returns
  • liaise with client managers
  • monitor filing deadlines
  • request client records
  • resolve queries
  • discuss VAT liabilities with clients
  • reconcile bank accounts
  • support with both sales and purchase ledger
  • payroll support
Experience for the Bookkeeper:
  • AAT qualified or with extensive experience
  • ideally knowledge of VAT schemes, but not essential
  • excellent communication skills
  • attention to detail
  • positive and enthusiastic
  • experience of working within an accountancy practice would be an advantage but again, not essential
