We are currently recruiting for a self managing Field Service Engineer to work from our Terminal at Mount Sorrel in LeicestershireThe successful candidate will be responsible for the daily maintenance, service and repair of a range of Rail Freight Wagons operating within the Midlands, Cambridgeshire corridors of the M1 and the A1Whilst primarily based out of our Operating Terminal within the Tarmac Site at Mount Sorrel, you will be responsive to maintenance, service and breakdown requirements within a 50 mile radius of Mount SorrelThe work is heavy vehicle maintenance with activities to include cleaning, wheel and axle changes, brakes and suspension component removal and refit. This would suit a keen Mechanic/Fitter looking to work in the Rail Industry or someone leaving or having recentlyleft the Armed Forces looking for their first role in Civvie StreetDue to the nature of the week, those with mobile plant, agricultural vehicle, military vehicles or self propelled weapon platforms, motor vehicle and general hands on vehicle maintenance experience would fit well within the teamCandidates should hold a Level2 NVQ in an engineering baced discipline and will have a driving license with no more than 9 pointsThis role is a permanent role, 36 hour basic working week with room for plenty of overtimeThe basic salary is £25,309.00 plus overtime providing an earnings opportunity in excess of £29,000.00 paCVs should be sent to or feel free to call on
