Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for level 3 Room leader to join a freindly nursery in Mottingham Greater, London.Person Specification:NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalentKnowledge of EYFS CurriculumBasic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)Some of the Room leader responsibilities will include:

  • To assist in providing a safe, supportive and caring environment for young children in the nursery, ensuring all aspects of each individual childs development are given full consideration
  • Working as a Key worker and using the I-connect system for daily feedback to parents, including recording all food, sleeps, nappies and observations
  • To comply with all nursery policy and procedures
  • To direct room based staff inEYFS curriculum planning
  • To promote diversity and equal opportunity
  • To develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, parents and other childcare professionals
  • To attend monthly staff meetings and further training as required
  • To act as a role model for junior members of staff
  • Working 40 hours per week
