Job Description

Crem Recruitment has been appointed to recruit for a key business within the manufacturing industry to facilitate their ongoing expansion at this important time.Our client is looking to recruit several Production Engineers to work at their busy factory in Mildenhall (Suffolk) responsible for the maintenance of 16 different machines and their associated equipment.Duties

  • Assisting the departmental production manager in maintaining optimal output.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and cost reduction.
  • Take responsibility for training new staff and upskilling existing staff.
  • Diagnose faults and undertake repairs in a timely fashion with minimal downtime.
  • Plan and undertake routine maintenance of machines with minimal downtime.
  • Stepping into production to maintain output to cover sickness / holiday.
  • Operating as the go to’ for questions and queries.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping and reporting near misses/unsafe activity.
Hours & PayApplicants will need to be able to work 12-hour day shifts between the hours of 6pm - 6am and the shift rotation will include one weekend day.Pay rate:£30,000 - £40,000 p/a variable dependent upon shift pattern allowancesPersonal SpecificationApplicants must be able to demonstrate significant previous experience in a Production, Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering environment having worked as a Maintenance / Production / Mechanical Engineer able to diagnose and resolve faults.
  • Be familiar with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 or, a shift-based environment.
  • Able to communicate at all levels of the business.
  • Be reliable and trustworthy.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work within strict guidelines.
