Job Description

Transport Planner PermanentLocation: Middlewich, CheshireSalary: up to £26,000 DOEWorking Hours: MondayFriday 08:30am5:00pmTransport PlannerMain Responsibilities of the Transport Planner

  • Planning of customer deliveries
  • Creating cost effective and efficient schedules ensuring agreed delivery times are adhered to ensuring all booking are made and reduce empty miles.
  • Work with customer services and customers with their transport queries providing an effective and timely resolution.
  • Be able to produce the plans from beginning to end introducing innovation where possible to have a positive impact on results, enhance profitability and assist the business to meet its objectives and goals
Experience and Skills required
  • Proven track record of efficient planning within the UK
  • Experience of planning software, TomTom systems, Microsoft systems
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of Driver Regulations and HGV compliance
  • Excellent focus on Customer Service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Strong team ethic and willingness to involve in cross functional teams
  • Ability to work independently
