Job Description

Production Engineer required for my client based near to Middlewich.They currently have opportunities for individuals looking for careers in Production Engineering, whether they are experienced or looking at starting out in the profession.The successful candidate will work alongside production specialists with years of experience and technical knowledge. The right candidate will help wire and build multi-million-pound scientific instruments on range of different product lines.The role of a Production Operative involves intricate assembly and electrical tasks. Attention to detail and taking pride in their work will be a key component in a successful application.Production Engineer Position Overview

  • Follow mechanical and electrical drawings to build wire complex assemblies
  • Execution of pre-test procedures and maintenance routines
  • Update documentation on build progress
  • Provide support to production
  • Review/monitor calibration of electrical testing equipment
  • Troubleshoot assemblies and find sources of error
  • Develop an understanding of Isotopx products and procedures
  • Understand H&S implications and follow procedures necessary for safe working
Production Engineer Position Requirements
  • Background in electrical installation and wiring and qualifications is preferable, but in house training for the right candidate will be considered
  • Willingness to learn on the job and gain technical experience
  • Level 2 city and Guilds
  • Experience with wiring and electrical drawings
  • Ability to work safely and independently
  • Good communication and I.T skills will be required for training customers on instrument
  • Scientific or Engineering background necessary (Geology/Physics preferred)
  • Software Experience in Magnetic Sector/ Ratio Mass Spectrometry is desirable.
  • Commutable distance of Middlewich.
  • A Full, clean UK driving license
Production Engineer Position Remuneration
  • Salary - around £25,000 - dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications
  • Full time position
  • 28 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Company Pension Scheme
