Job Description

Graduate Application Developer (.NET / Instrumentation) – £28-32k – Middlewich (but occasional travel to sites in the UK and overseas may be required)The RoleAre you an ambitious graduate software engineer Do you have an interest in using software to control ‘real-world’ automation Isotopx, an established manufacturer of world-leading scientific instruments, has an opportunity for a Graduate Application Developer (.NET / Instrumentation).The successful candidate will become a key part of a small, agile organisation - working alongside senior team members to specify and deliver a range of key objectives to support and develop Isotopx products.The key responsibilities of a Graduate Application Developer (.NET / Instrumentation) include, but are not limited to:

  • Working alongside senior team members to specify, generate and evaluate code; Meeting mission and time-critical deadlines for product delivery.
  • Assisting specification and delivery of new product development; Developing CM plans, policies and procedures.
  • Implementing CM control for the entire life-cycle of systems from product genesis to system end-of-life.

  • The PersonThe key skills and qualities of a Graduate Application Developer (.NET / Instrumentation):
  • Core Tech stack: C# .NET, MS Visual Studio, ASPX/ASP.NET, SQL server (Ideally MS SQL).
  • Ideally, you will have an understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques, including requirements definition.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while multi-tasking.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desirable skills: ASP.NET and Web Form Controls; W3.CSS; Bootstrap; DevExpress Web/WinForms toolsets; Appreciation of electronics/mechanical design, methods and production techniques; Understanding of firmware review and revision control (C++/ARM).
