Vital People are currently looking for FLT Counter Balance Drivers for a well established warehousing and logistics operation based in Middlewich.Hours of work: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm & 2pm - 10pm (ROTATION)Providing a first class service you will be responsible for the efficient and safe handling of a range of customer products ensuring service targets are achieved and surpassed.1. Undertake receipt and checking of customer products in line with the company goods-in process ensuring all label and put-away rules are completed as appropriate2. Pick customer orders by the pallet in line with the business process, undertaking all necessary checks and controls and making available for despatch3. Load and despatch outbound orders complying with the business process ensuring all checks and SSOW are adhered to4. Assist with regular spot audits as required5. Undertake a range of forklift duties as required ensuring daily check sheets are completed thoroughly and company safety guidelines observed6. Ensure all products / pallets are stored, handled and transported securely in line with the business process, food hygiene legislation, SSOW and Health & Safety guidelines7. Work effectively with colleagues to make sure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness and complies to the business Quality and Hygiene policies at all times8. Ensure all packaging waste is disposed of safely and in line with the business process, recycling wherever possibleKnowledge and Skills1. You will be of a friendly and approachable disposition with a can do attitude2. Possess all relevant MHE training and licenses3. Basic understanding of manual handling techniques4. Possess a good standard of numeracy and literacy with the ability to read and understand English5. Good understanding of, and commitment to safe working practices6. Previous warehouse experience7. Customer focused with excellent communication skills8. Conscientious, reliable, with good attendance and timekeeping standards9. Honest, trustworthy, able to work to a process unsupervised10. Keen to learn and acquire new skills and responds positively to feedback11.
