You will be qualified in at least one discipline but will be required to undertake work in other trades according to the nature of their dutiesGeneral ResponsibilitiesThe Hub Engineer 1 is a member of the engineering team, supporting the Hub operation by maintenance, repair and improvement of all parcel handling equipment (PHE). The HE1 is a multi skilled engineering grade working to commercial standards and will be employed on duties which require a sound knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and associated principles including :-Manual Lifting and Handling techniquesWorking at HeightWorking in confined SpaceFault finding in Electrical panelsHE1s will carry out mail searches at prescribed times and recover items on patrol which have fallen off or become lodged in the system. Damaged items will be collected with all contents and wrapping and taken to the operations for repair.Cleaning or supervision of cleaning in designated areas will be undertaken as required.In addition to assisting HE2s and HE3s as required and directed, they will be expected to perform the following work, according to the nature of their duties and experience with or without assistance.
