Job Description

The L&D Lead will oversee the implementation of the business Learning and Development strategy, including the site learning academy, ensuring that all learner programmes and technical training workshops are scheduled and delivered in line with defined timescales,as well as promoting a positive and growth-oriented learning environment.This role will work closely with the SMT, HR, and in collaboration with the skills-based training team.Client DetailsMy client is a leading Manufacturing business.DescriptionKey responsibilities:

  • Drive the learning and development strategy and project managing the roll out of all learner programmes and technical training requirements
  • Oversee the implementation of the L&D strategy and deployment of targeted learning solutions in line with identified learning and organisational needs
  • Lead the implementation of all technical training programmes in partnership with the senior leadership team, HR, and skill-based training team
  • Determine the scale and scope of skills and capability needed to drive the business strategy
  • Delivery of the site Learning Academy, including a competency framework, learning pathways and phased delivery consistently for all Manufacturing roles
  • Design and deliver the L&D strategy in partnership with HR, the Skills Training team, and the SLT, to ensure a programmatic approach to upskill first line managers
  • Build relationships with relevant management teams, senior leadership, and HR, by engaging, communicating, and influencing across all levels of leadership
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions in achieving capability development, performance improvement and overall contribution to business impact and value
  • Work closely with HR to ensure best practice and company guidelines are being met
  • Communicate issues in a timely manner, presenting viable solutions
Profile
  • Previous experience in a senior L&D role, including managing and leading strategy, influencing Senior Management and stakeholders, and implementing programmes at ground level
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced, multi-functional environment.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment supporting capability building for specific functions
  • Experience of the full learning and development cycle
  • Experience of working in a matrix organisation
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate work across multiple teams
  • Excellent project management and coordination skills
  • Expert facilitation skills
Job Offer
  • Short-term temporary contract (3-6 months)
  • £350 day rate
  • Full-time or part-time working model
  • Site-based role in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear
