Job Description

My client is looking for an experienced Production Fabricator/Welder to join their team on a permanent basis.Based on 2 sites in Swanley/Redhill with a salary of £30,000 with a £1,500 pro-rated bonus, candidate must be a driver with own transport to travelbetween sitesAhands on role performing fabrication, assembly & Tig welding primarily on stainless & carbon steel piping.As well aswork with general workshop machinery such as lathes, band saws & drilling machines to prepare materials for the welding process. Candidatesmustbe able to work from engineering fabrication drawings within a small, target lead business operating to an ISO 9001 quality system as well as BS3834-1. The role can be multifunctional as workload demands & flexibility within tasks is essential.General tasks include;Tig welding of product according to specification & drawings within tolerances of +/- 1.5mm , preparing machine materials prior to welding, fit up & assembly as needed, maintaining traceability & quality of all welds & materials throughout the manufacturingprocess, work to a standard that ensures weld quality will pass radiography according to ASME V.Any potential applicants must have;

Minimum 4+ years Tig welding experience as a minimum
Knowledge of general machine operation & material preparation prior to welding.
Be able to demonstrate solid experience of Tig welding, preferably on ss316 pipe & fittings (a trade test will be required).
Ideally hold or have previously held recognised weld codings, such as ASME IX, BSEN 287-1, etc.
Ideally have experience in a quality controlled environment is preferable
Must be a good communicator & work well in a team
Must be organised & skilled in time management, able to effectively prioritise and manage workloads
