Job Description

We are looking for a new energeticmember to join our marketing department based at our group head office in the village of Meriden. This is a 12-month maternity cover role, with the potential for the right candidate to become permanent.This would be an ideal role for someone from an Admin, Customer Service or Recruitment Support background, looking to make their next career step.As a Marketing Assistant in the Meriden Media team, you will be expected to be able to jump in and assist with the following:

Editing and writing job adverts
Manipulating data and converting this into a story to be told
Creating insightful slide packs
Liaising with internal colleagues of all levels, along with external suppliers
Media account management
Troubleshooting technical issues
Contributing to marketing campaign planning and tracking
General administrative tasks

We will provide all the training you need for specific tasks; however, the following skills would be a great starting point:

Above average communication and writing skills - we welcome grammar police!
Organised and able to use initiative
Ability to work to tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
Computer literate and unafraid of tackling new software systems
Strong analytical skills and confidence working with Excel and PowerPoint
A degree or equivalent involving Marketing, Research or English language skills would be advantageous
A sense of humour is essential
