Job Description

Pay:MPS or UPS with £5000 salary enhancement StartDate: January 2021 Ifyou have a passion for science and a gift for inspiring young minds, we arelooking for you. We are currently recruiting for a new science teacher to joinour outstanding faculty of teachers. You must enjoy teaching focused andengaged students and be able to develop engaging and innovative lessons thatallow our students to grow academically, socially and emotionally. You aresomeone who incorporates technology and embraces our blended learningprogramme, incorporating hands-on learning with an online provision. The idealcandidate also believes in collaboration with other colleagues, enjoys workingin our warm, friendly, family environment, and promotes understanding andcommunication in a diverse environment. JobResponsibilities:

  • Planand deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students based on national, localand school standards in science education
  • Followthe Meopham House style and differentiate lessons when needed to give allstudents access to the curriculum regardless of disability, instructionallevel, English proficiency or level of interest in the subject.
  • Evaluatestudent performance on tasks established by the standards using differentmethods such as observation, performance-based tasks or other standard testpractices.
  • Maintaina safe, orderly and supportive classroom by modelling expected behaviour andstandards, promoting positive interactions and displaying professional conductat all times
  • Communicatewith parents regarding student progress, potential and behaviour periodicallythrough phone or electronic means.
