Job Description

Pay: Kent Range 3 or 4; depending upon experienceStart Date: 1st March, 2021 Do you want to work in a school where the motto isEnjoy, Learn and Aspire If you answered yes, then we are the school for you.We are looking to appoint a highly motivatedTeaching Assistant to join our talented and supportive team. This is a 5 dayrole and involves working 1:1 in KS2 and is a temporary role linked to thischild. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, termtime only, during the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm. The full time salary for this role is KR3-KR4,£18,039 - £18,129 (FTE) and therefore pro-rata, term time, for working 5 daysover 38 working weeks, it would be £13,220.75 - 13,286.71, paid over 12 months.The rate of pay depends upon the previous experience of the candidate.The role will also involve working during thelunchtime period with a lunch-break of 30 minutes provided. The successful candidate must hold the relevantteaching assistant qualification with GCSEs in English and Maths A - C orequivalent. Previous experience working with a child with learning difficultieswould be beneficial, but not essential. We are looking for someone who is/has:

  • experience of working with children withcommunication and language needs;
  • experienced in following a care plan;
  • experience of supporting pupils withSEN;
  • expertise in supporting pupils with additionalneeds such as ASD/ADHD would be an advantage as well as experience supportingspeech and language needs and/ or implementing TEACCH approaches (Candidateswithout this experience would need to be prepared to undergo training todevelop in these areas.);
  • passionate about enabling every child to fulfiltheir potential;
  • experienced in deliveringinterventions;
  • able to contribute to, and work as part of ateam;
  • excellent communication skills and a flexibleattitude;
  • effective time management and an ability to workon own initiative.
