Job Description

Bewleys Tea & Coffee UK Ltd are one ofthe leading suppliers of hot beverage solutions to the foodservice sector. Bewleys UK offers nationwide sales and service support with coffee roasting capability at our roastery in Yorkshire.We have an opportunity to join our team as a Workshop Engineer working at our roastery in Meltham. The Workshop Engineer is responsible for workshop-based repairs and will be responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient, and hygienic workshop and warehouseenvironment. Working HoursMonday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pmResponsibilities and duties

  • Carry out workshop-based services and repairs
  • Be responsible for PDI of equipment
  • Offer technical support as required to other teams
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness/upkeep of the workshop and warehouse
  • Manage equipment and parts inventory in both new and 2nd hand warehouses and ensure JDE is updated for all movements
  • Occasional field repairs
  • Be responsible for QC on all equipment leaving the workshop
  • Review refurbished equipment to confirm condition (1-5 etc)
  • Assist with equipment stock take when required
  • Carry out low-level building maintenance
  • Help to evolve the workshop to suit future requirements and to continuously improve
  • Maintain a high level of quality.
Quality standardsAdhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management. Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.Miscellaneous
  • Completion of ad-hoc project work as specified by senior management team
  • Engagement with colleagues to share best practice
  • Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and project / team activities
Behaviours / Skills
  • The workshop engineer must demonstrate that they are responsible, reliable and trustworthy and they are aware that every action must reflect a strong personal commitment to our customers and brand.
  • They must be skilled technically with good diagnostic abilities. They should hold an electromechanical qualification or have relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Dynamic, highly motivated, and pro-active individual with a passion for coffee.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in delivering excellent customer service based on customer needs
