Freight ForwarderManufacturingPackaging Sector Meltham, Huddersfield£30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)MondayFriday, 8:30 am5pmIm currently recruiting for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join a leading export packing company who provide bespoke packing for heavy machinery to a diverse customer base globally.They are seeking a Multimodal Freight Forwarder to support their ongoing freight forwarding department and grow into a management position.The Benefits;

The Candidate;

Experience of shipping by Air, Road & SeaEssential
Good understanding of letter of creditEssential
Ability to make customs declarations for exports / understanding of customs - Desirable
Used to working in a fast paced freight forwarding department
Ability to work under pressure
Strong negotiation & customer service skills
Strong personality with the leadership skills

Duties and Responsibilities;

Processing bookings for customers orders
Negotiating with carriers
Arranging A-Z movements (multimodal)
Handling customs documentation
Making customs declarations for exports through CHIEF
Keeping customer up to date with the stage of their shipments
Working closely with account managers, production line and freight manager
Maintain accurate records of cargo movements
Issuing invoices
