Job Description

As one of the UK leading suppliers of hot beverage solutions to the foodservice sector. Bewley’s UK offers nationwide sales & service support with coffee roasting capability at our roastery in Yorkshire. We are looking for an experienced manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, logistics operations and coffee production departments in our Meltham roastery. The ideal candidate will be a strong people manager with excellent organisational skills and be happy to manage a diverse, cross functional, multi-skilled team.Main Responsibilities & DeliverablesLogistics

  • Motivate and manage the warehouse team to ensure the delivery of an efficient operation whilst meeting their developmental needs.
  • Bring a logistics mindset to the storage and movement of raw materials both into the warehouse and into production insure a strong working relationship with the production team and other areas of the business.
  • Make sure any movement of goods (receipts, transfers, dispatches) are recorded accurately on JDE and through the use of the RF Smart system in a timely manner.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers that supply goods and services into the warehouse.
  • Deliver against KPI’s on pick accuracy, pick volume per day using JDE and RF Smart menus and reporting tools.
    • Production
  • Motivate and manage the production team to ensure the delivery of an efficient operation whilst meeting their developmental needs.
  • Ensure all quality, health & safety, and food safety standards are in place and adhered to alongside all actions required to ensure site certifications are achieved to the required business and customer standards.
  • Set clear production performance targets for staff, monitor performance against targets, identify and resolve any issues in achieving these targets.
  • Deliver the production plan and liaise with the Scheduler/Planner on production line priorities and communicate any deviations from the plan in a timely manner.
    • Skills & Experience
  • Manage a team, exhibiting leadership in the day-to-day decision making within the warehouse and production environments.
  • Implement a Personal Development Programme, in line with prescribed guidelines, for team members and creating succession planning ensuring a multi skilled workforce.
  • 3 years or more of working in a similar enviroment in a similar role.
  • Have a good understanding of JDE, Oracle, RF Smart.
    • Working Hours Mon – Fri 8:30 – 5:00
