Job Description

Were looking for an experienced Talent and Development Partner who will lead on our Talent, Development and Recruitment strategy to support the delivery of our People Agenda.This role is based at Head Office in Mellor Brook but will require travel to our Hotels and Inns.Your key responsibilities:

  • Support the creation of and implement a Talent & Development and Resourcing strategy/plan to deliver the business and people plan
  • To build effective relationships with stakeholders to understand the business to deliver the appropriate solutions
  • Develop, implement and evaluate a range of learning programmes, which could include workshops, classroom training, e-learning design etc
  • To create, lead and manage the annual talent management process
  • Manage the Apprenticeship levy process and design apprenticeship programmes to maximise our levy contribution
  • Lead, develop, coach and mentor your direct report
  • Manage the Recruitment and L&D budget, ensuring regular monitoring and tracking
  • Support and advise People Partners on Resourcing and Talent & Development initiatives
  • Manage the recruitment partners, agencies, including Daniel Thwaites online presence, accurate branding and recruitment marketing materials
  • Create strong relationships and links with educational establishments
  • Plan, prepare for and support careers fairs, educational establishment careers days and exhibitions
  • Keep up to date with key recruitment and development trends and share that knowledge through team meetings, presentations etc
  • Support with recruitment campaigns
Skills and experience required:
  • At least 3 years working in a similar role, evidencing a consultative and partnering approach
  • Confident in designing, developing and delivering innovative solutions with excellent presentation and facilitation skills, organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Talent and development strategies
  • Working knowledge of learning techniques and styles
  • A good understanding of recruitment practices and how to maximise online presence
  • Strong competency and behavioural interviewing experience
  • Is able to demonstrate an understanding of good project management
  • Ability to establish effective relationships, demonstrating a proven track record in collaborating, persuading and influencing across all levels across a business up to senior management
  • Ability to move between big picture and detail, mixing intuition with pragmatism
  • Flexible, creative, adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Hands on, solution-oriented, can do approach and with the ability to see a way through the most difficult of situations to support the business
  • Inspirational in their approach to team members and stakeholders
  • Ideally, qualified to Level A&B BPS, alongside other profiling tools
