Job Description

As Accounts Assistant at our purpose built Head Office, you’ll become a member of our family who supports the wider team to ensure all financial transactions areaccurately recorded and reconciledYour day to day will involve:

  • Recording financial transactions on the accounting system
  • To check the accuracy of weekly financial income and expenditure returns relating to Inns and managed houses
  • Reconciling payments – debit/credit cards, deposits and cash and ensuring queries are followed up proactively
  • Responsible for daily customer invoicing process
  • Processing of sundry invoices and credit notes
  • To carry out balance sheet analysis, control account and other reconciliation work
  • To assist in the production of accurate period end management accounts
  • To assist with analysis queries
  • Ad hoc duties to support the team
Who are we looking for Previous experience in accounting/book keeping would be an advantage but full training could be given for the right individual.You should be highly organised with excellent time management skills to ensure all priorities are met with excellent attention to detail.You must have a good working knowledge of Excel and ideally will have used an accounting package previously.You should be comfortable working both on your own and within a team and committed to meeting month end deadlines.In return, we are offering a rewarding role with scope for career progression along with;
