Job Description

The RoleYour primary role as a Medical Records Paralegal, working within our Clinical Negligence and Serious Injury Team, will be to coordinate and prepare the chronologies and medical records, working alongside our in-house nurse.Day to day your tasks will include:

  • Sorting medical records to produce relevant chronologies.
  • Paginating medical records
  • Assisting with Access Requests for medical records and associated follow up
  • Obtaining additional or missing records or information.
  • Assisting with taking new claims enquiries and obtaining all relevant information when required
  • Liaising with clients over the phone or by email
  • Updating internal systems
  • Assisting Fee Earners and carrying out other ad hoc tasks that assist the team.
  • Maintaining compliance in accordance with internal policies and GDPR
What experience do I needWe are looking for an experienced Legal Administrative Support Secretary or Legal Assistant looking for their next role. You should demonstrate an interest for working within a Clinical Negligence and Serious Injury department and will ideally have previousexperience of working in a role that has had to deal with medical records and chronologies.What skills should I have
  • Conscientious and meticulous with great attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills, particularly experience with having used customer/client databases and MS packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
