Job Description

EHS Consultant (Environmental Health & Safety Consultant) – Contract 3 Days Per Week – Inside IR35Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry known for innovation and sustainability are looking for an experienced EHS Consultant to cover long-term sick leave. This is a single site-based role in Redditch, working 3 days per week, primarilyworking on environmental aspects of EHS. You will report into and work alongside the EHS Manager. Experience with packaging regulations, waste management and carbon reduction would be hugely beneficial.Responsibilities and Role:

  • Proven experience as an EHS / HSE consultant, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Focus on environmental aspects, including waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainable practices.
  • Experience of environmental compliance
  • Collaborate with various departments to implement and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Provide guidance on sustainability practices making recommendations
Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance with wider knowledge of health and safety.
  • Familiarity with packaging regulations and a strong understanding of sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH Environmental or equivalent.
  • Ideally a member of IEMA
  • Ability to work independently and take the lead on environmental projects.
