Job Description

This is an opportunity for a candidate with strong administrative skills and legal support experience to join a multi-branch firm of solicitors in their Maidenhead office.The role is envisaged to be for a fixed period of 12 months, and will be 3 days/week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, hours 9-5.30pm.A candidate who is friendly as well as being a competent audio typist and ideally with litigation experience but certainly with experience of working as a legal secretary would suit this contract.Duties are:

  • Dealing with letters and dictated emails
  • Typing court documentation on Oyez software
  • Preparing various legal notices using templates
  • Opening new client files and sending out client care letters
  • Putting time entries into Partner software
  • Preparing invoices and downloading client ledgers
  • Raising cheques and transferring payments by BACs for court and counsel fees
  • Allocating payments to Partner software when funds received
  • Putting together court bundles/photocopying
  • Archiving
  • Scanning in post
