Shorterm Group are looking for a Laser Sales Estimator in MaidenheadShorterm Group are looking for an experienced estimator and this is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic person to thrive in a successful team. An exciting opportunity to join a friendly, knowledgeable and hardworking team at a company who provides a high-quality laser cutting service in a wide range of metals and to a diverse group of industries such as Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Motorsport, Aerospace, Film,Defence, Food, Pharmaceutical and many more. They also offer many secondary operations such as press brake forming, CNC machining, sheet metal work, welding & fabrication to provide a "one-stop" solution.Responsibilities:* Create detailed quotations from customer drawings/models for existing and new customers, maintaining a high standard of service.* Maintain/improve on existing customer relationships and develop relationships with new customers in order to improve the service.* Answering laser sales calls.* Converting successful quotes to orders on our system and getting feedback on unsuccessful quotes.* Communicating with the customer about order progress.* Supporting to the Sales Manager in growing the business in-line with the Companys vision.Ideal requirements:* A technical estimating background within the sheet metal, fabrication, manufacturing or similar industries or someone who has plenty of CAD experience OR laser cutting experience and wants to develop themselves in an estimating/sales environment.* Great communications and inter-personal skills.* Outgoing and friendly, both in person and on the phone.* Ideally some sort of quoting software or CAD experience.* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.* Excellent attention to detail.* Good organisational, numeracy and computer literacy skills.* Good at working under pressure.* Hard-working and trustworthy.* Knowledge of laser cutting and sheet metal work is desirable but not essential.Future potential:After initially working on the flat metal profiles and parts/assemblies with further work like inserts, folding, rolling, tapping, countersinking etc., a strong and successful candidate will have the opportunity to move on/develop their experience with quotingfully welded/fabricated sheet metal work and fabricated equipment/assemblies.Salary: £28k to £34k, fully negotiable for the right candidate.If you are interested please call Natalie on or email Required skills
