Job Description

Due to continued growth here at Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Lutterworth, we are currently recruiting for a Security Supervisor to reinforce and support the Security Operations. You will play a key role in the day to day planning and running of the SecurityOperations by taking ownership and responsibility for the workload and maintaining an effective open communication to all departments. We are based at Magna Park, Lutterworth.The role will report to the Security Manager.Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00 (Rotating shift)The main duties and responsibilities are listed below (not exhaustive):

  • To continually review the daily operation in accordance to Security Instructions
  • Maintain good relationships with key departments on site Operations, Sites Services , CAM & H&S
  • Ensure all site guards are motivated and ensure all team members are trained in accordance to their role and responsibilities within the Security operation.
  • Ensure all Security team members know the site processes and procedures and are aware of the current: SOPs, H&S documentationVehicle control, Transport trackers .
  • Ensuring that the physical Security of all sites are in operating standards (Perimeter/Internal fencing/Boundaries, Gates, Barriers etc.) Reporting any discrepancies to the Security Manager
  • Ensuring that all Security equipment is kept in good working order(Locks, Access Points, hand-held/Body Scanners etc.) Reporting any issues to the Security Manager
  • Ensuring all sites are adequately manned to the business operating hours.
  • The locking & unlocking of all sites as requiredfollowing correct processes & procedures
  • Answering routine emergency calls; Duress, Fire, Intruder
  • Monitoring of activated alarms; CCTV, Fire, Intruder, Duress, Net2 Access
  • Provide support to the Operations Team to ensure protection of Assets, equipment and stock
  • Assist Security Manager with developing the role of Security function throughout the business
  • Supervision of static security guards, control room operators
  • Communication of daily handover reports
  • Completion of company KPIs reports & records (in both IT & handwritten formats)
  • Site inspections, audits & patrols of our customers premises
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
  • Level 2 SIA Door Supervisor/Security Guard Licence
  • The roles requires the candidate to have a high standard of IT skills,including Word / Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective communication across all three sites
  • The ability to think through problems for logical solutions and remain calm and professional at all times.
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
  • Some experience within the Security Industry or Supervisor/Team Leader role
  • Level 3 Security Management Course
  • Public Space Surveillance (CCTV)
  • First Aid at work
