Job Description

Summary Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as aback of house team member plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service.The Hours: Flexible hours available which includes weekend shifts; to be discussed at interview (No Evenings & No Split Shifts)The Salary:£8.91 per hourFixed term until the end of Oct based on an average 32.5hrworking week (paid hourly). Working 5 days out of 7 to include some weekends andoccasional evening to 7.30pm (1 per week).Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 31st October 2021 What its like to work here You will be joining the team at The Buttery - our brand new cafe set amongst the Lorna Doone Valley, near Oare. Right on the Somerset/Devon border, this site has the rolling moorland and deep wooded valleys featured in the famous novel by R .D Blackmore, Lorna Doone. We welcome both the campers form the adjacent National Trust campsite and walkers travelling along the Coleridge Way , and hope to inspire everyone with our friendly welcome and refreshing offer. You will work closely with the cook and Assistant Manager to provide well produced food from our kitchen, using ethically sourced ingredients and knowing that you are supporting the conservation of the beautiful surrounding area.The main duties of this post will be supporting the cook,production of scones, sandwiches and cakes against set Trust recipes, customerservice, receiving deliveries and cleaning of the kitchen areas.We are notlooking for a qualified cook or necessarily someone with prior hospitalityexperience, just someone who can demonstrate a passion for good food and anability to follow basic standardised recipes as well as an ability to learn andservice focus.What youll be doing With your love of working with people, positive attitude and desire to provide an excellent service, you’ll welcome and look after every customer who visits our Food and Beverage outlet. Using your excellent attention to detail, you’ll ensure all signage is displayed correctly and the food served looks delicious. From time to time you may be required to assist the kitchen team with food prep, but your core focus will be from a front of house perspective.Please also read the full role profile, attached to this advert.
