Job Description

We’re looking for someone special, someone to share our passion for innovation, better spaces, and better futures – could it be youAs a result of growth, we’d like to welcome a brilliant new Second Line Support Analyst.Second Line Support Analyst Responsibilities:Working within a large and busy IT Department of about 70, this job fits into a dedicated Site Services team. In this key role, you will be assisting clients and internal staff as an escalation point for technical queries.You will be involved with a variety of service desk technologies including telephony, remote access, and client-facing support. This is a great opportunity to get involved with a range of IT work. In line with our companies promise to deliver transformation, our IT Department is leading the way with some really exciting projects, migrating from our on-premise Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence to a modern Azure data warehouse architecture, and we are also underway with a new ERP strategy to implement Dynamics 365. Coupled with your passion for staying connected with technology trends and industry best practices we think this will be a huge opportunity to make your mark in a company where you can have a real impact.Second Line Support Analyst Requirements:• Experience in a similar Second Line Support Analyst role would be ideal.• A “Customer Service” approach with the ability to deal with all levels of the business.• Exposure to Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365 / Exchange, Antivirus (Crowdstrike) / Firewalls, Azure, AAD, InTune, HyperV & virtualisation Technologies, Cisco Networking (firewalls, switches, routing, DNS, DHCP).• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication.• Strong planning, organising, and prioritising abilities.• You need to be proactive and keen to spot opportunities to refine and improve processes.• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.• We’re looking for examples of expertise in all activities associated with providing end-user PC support and problem resolution on complex and difficult PC hardware and software issues.• You need to be based within a commutable distance from our office in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and commit to working 1 -2 days from the office on a weekly basis under COVID guidelines when we return to the office.• You will be asked to participate in the on-call rota which we’re happy to discuss in more detail.Interested Do you want to be part of something special, to work somewhere you can add value and be recognised for your expertise This is an exciting opportunity to join a very experienced and stable team that is committed to delivering a world-class service for the business.About Marshalls:Our Marshalls mission is ‘Creating Better Spaces’.
